Teaching with Confidence

These practical training courses are for teachers, ancillary staff and other PSHE practitioners who want to improve their delivery. The aim of the courses is to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to plan and deliver outstanding PSHE education.

These courses will cover:
  • Exploring best practice in the classroom using CWP materials
  • Dealing with questions, setting ground rules, managing parents’ concerns
  • Exploring an age appropriate SRE programme for your school
  • Update on policy and curriculum requirements

One aim of teaching Drug and Alcohol Education is to help young people resist drug misuse in order to achieve their full potential in society. This course explores the pressures on young people to engage in drug and alcohol use and considers the skills and knowledge needed to manage risk. Participants will consider appropriate classroom practice, curriculum and policy including managing drug related incidents.
